This is a beautiful landscape. Rolling vineyards in the foreground stretch towards a quaint village perched on a hill. In the distance, a majestic range of snow-capped mountains dominates the horizon under a clear blue sky. It’s a serene and picturesque scene, very typical of the beautiful regions found in parts of Italy.

This is the Unesco listed Monferrato in Piemonte, we are lucky enough to call it home. We are happy to share it with you. Plan your visit we have plenty of activities for you and the family to enjoy both at Verdmont and the local area!

Le Cesarine

Verdmont Acqui Terme

One project I have been working hard on is becoming a Cesarine which is not easy. What is a Cesarine first of all? Well in their own words they are an association of home chefs who are primarily occupied with preserving, teaching and disseminating traditional regional Italian recipes. Through workshops, lessons & intimate dining experiences.

Firstly I am not Italian, I don’t have my Nonna’s traditional recipes to hand as my Nonna passed away some time ago and she was not Italian either ! In fact she could not have been further from Italian in terms of food.

Second I have only been here a blink of an eye, in Italian terms at least 12 years! But I do have is enthusiasm and a love for my adopted country and deep respect for its enogastronomic heritage. Being a dab hand in the kitchen also helps.

So after some work I am now officially a Cesarine qualified and ready to offer meals experience and lessons in the art of traditional Italian home cooking. I am currently working on a few menus to start offering here at Verdmont and would be delighted if you would join my table and celebrate Italian food and wine with me.

Felicity’s playhouse

We are a family business at Verdmont and we pride ourselves in catering to our smallest visitors. A play area with swings, a pool to visit with Mum and Dad, and the little playhouse named after our smallest, Felicity ‘s playhouse. It is a perfectly sheltered spot nestled in the Acacia trees far enough for prying adult eyes but close enough for the comfort of Mum and Dad.

For a while I have been dreaming about creating a nice spot for families who want to enjoy the great outdoors, nature and fun but without the mountain of things you need to bring for camping especially with kids!!

Enter the Viking tent, inspired by vikings with a modern twist the construction is well underway, and hopefully within a few short weeks we will be able to offer a a large space for up to six people to explore the great outdoors.

This custom hand,ade tent will accomodate up to four and combine with the original bell tent to sleep a total of 6 set in you own 150 metre squared space.
