For a small town Acqui Terme has a lively restaurant scene. Here I will give you two stand out examples not too expensive places to experience our local cuisine. There are many others so be brave and try them too.
The first I will mention is Angolo di Vino. This is small (always book) quirky and not only serve the standard Piemonte fare but also has a reputation for catering to more plant based tastes. i have eaten there a few times & I can say there are usually a few more options than most. So for variety and inclusiveness this wins the prize. It is also a fantastic central location in summer you can sit outside in the pedestrian area and really soak up the atmosphere and charm of Acqui terme.
The second is a small in a cozy alleyway Di Nonna Gina, again traditional less veg options but good food and a decent wine list. For the atmosphere and service it also is a standout , I have never been disappointed.
