Thought this project is not directly related to my running Verdmont it does provide two things. First is a validation of the parts I am doing right. Second it highlights where I might do better. Both in terms of marketing, accommodations old and new and future ideas for experiences we have one under development for next season.
Geverduin was a mixed campsite set in a forest close to the beach. So there are pitches for seasonal residence, short term pitches , and a variety of small houses.
The play areas here central to the business as they are open to the public during off season meaning the restaurant and cafe get more traffic. All play zones were show stopping made in natural wood but TUV certified designed for the space and for kids.
Each camping area had it’s own playground. which was necessary there are 600 camping spa and 20 houses .
What did I learn? That play areas are important for parents we have probably under valued this facility So we will aim to improve. Also it validated our idea of individual and unique spaces. Ours on a miniature scale.
