The hills in and around Acqui Terme are a really beautiful mix. If you leave from Verdmont we are on the vine side. So all the hills will be vine covered dotted with a few houses and villages. This is the Unesco designated area, The Monferrato.
If you cross the Bormida while enjoying the Roman Arches, a must see… you will head up into hills that are totally different. No vines and much more forested land all with the same stunning backdrop of Alpine mountinas in the background.
We have really good resources for biking in the area with not only hire but suggested routes. To warm up we always suggest a really simple 8km circuit that passes through Strevi and Acqui, it is in our info pack and well signposted.
