This was our first event hosting an art and craft evening and while it was a learning experience. The wonderful thing was we met new and old faces and many people who came made links and forged deeper friendships. It was about art but it was also about food, wine, culture, handmade local products. It was rooted in the community and the landscape around us.
Having a talented artist Daughter means that art is very much a part of our lives, and will play and increasing role. We were always enthusiastic supporters of young artists.
In house you will find purchases we have made over the years from young artist from UsA, Bermuda, Bali, Thailand). What you will not find is stock prints or posters.
We delighted and proud to have our very own artist to nurture and grow. It is truly an honour and will be a fantastic journey!
Also featured was wine tasting which is an art, food (myself and Amber cooked some beautiful aperitivo snacks.) Crafts including basket weaving by a local artisan which will be available for sale at Verdmont, and beautiful handmade Ceramics.
I have a good feeling that this event will become a fixture on our calendar maybe Autumn and Spring when the light is perfect but the heat is gone.
